Theresa Anderson, AP, DNCCAOM is a licensed and insured Acupuncture Physician in the State of Florida. She is also Nationally Board Certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Dr.Anderson holds a B.S. in Science Education specializing in Biology. She completed her acupuncture post graduate school at the nationally accredited Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine in Bloomfield, New Jersey. Dr. Anderson has always had a curiosity about life, why we exist, and how we exist, which has propelled her through her many studies. She has studied and taught massage therapy. myology, pathology and other subjects to a wide variety of people. Owning an award-winning organic health food store with café and supplements for 15 years has bestowed her with knowledge and experience becoming a mentor in her community and a nationally recognized leader in the industry. She has over 13 years of experience in acupuncture and other healing modalities. She has taught yoga, tai chi and is a master at helping people relax and calm their mind through meditation.
To further address the needs of her patients she is currently studying Functional Medicine which uses laboratory testing to provide a natural and curative approach to health using supplements, lifestyle changes and other modalities. Something Dr. Anderson would strongly recommend to all of her patients is an anti-inflammatory diet and lifestyle, because “long-term inflammation leads to chronic illness! Get into good habits!”
She balances her work life with beach time, swimming and surfing. She also plays the drums and enjoys making healthy, delicious modern meals.
I enjoy the challenge of taking on difficult cases, or patients with a multitude of disease. What I love about practicing acupuncture is that; it is a medical art form which addresses, not only physical illness, but also mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of our being.
